This is a nice emulator with many features, including a 'eagle' mode which should make games look better. On my old PC I noticed RockNES wasn't particulary fast. But with both the advance of PC's and RockNES the speed difference (compared to other emulators) should be neglible. After the first run, RockNES creates a ROCKNES.CFG file which can be edited with any text editor to set options for sound, video, controllers etc. RockNES also supports the Game Genie, see the ROCKNES.TXT file included in the ZIP file for more information on how to use Game Genie codes with RockNES.

'place any cheat code files (optional) in the ' snes9x cheats' directory' 'Once you load a game you can access another option menu by pressing the 'Home' button. This will bring up the Save, Load, Reset, Controller and Cheats options.' 'Cheats are loaded from the ' snes9x cheats' directory and must be in the SNES9X.CHT file format. They also must be named the same name as the game you're playing with the.cht extentsion. An example would be if you have a ROM called 'Super Mario World.smc' you would need to name your.cht file to 'Super Mario World.cht'.
