I have no idea how to check which one is active as I'm not really familiar with terminal. But few days ago I changed back to Nvidia log out and got black screen. Restarting the system worked to the point where desktop should appear, because I could hear 'music' play on log in.

As a work around I lower time when screen turns off on battery and then when I clicked anywhere the desktop appear and I could work more or less normally. In Additional drivers it was set to Nvidia binary driver - version 352.63. Changing to open source version produced the result above after restart today What should I do now?

Thank for the link. I already had that link before and then forgot about it. I actually didn't have Nvidia drivers installed any more for unknown reason Also going trough Network in grub first didn't help/ connect me either. So I think in the end I choose one previous kernel in recovery mode and then just start the system which let me to the console/terminal only there I typed sudo apt-get install nvidia-352and it finally started downloading!!! It took quite some time to setup everything but at least I can now get straight into the desktop. For now everything works, trough I have no idea which graphics are in use now.
